I love a good feathery frock. From skirts to tops to dresses, there’s something about wearing feathers that instantly ups your chic-factor, especially on New Years Eve! Alice and Olivia and Elizabeth and James are two brands you can most certainly count on to have the perfect feathered skirt or dress.

One of my co-workers girlfriend works for Elizabeth and James and attended our Christmas party in THIS sweater. I love it in both white and black. This Tibi feather tank screams New Years Eve. 2015 feels like it started yesterday, doesn’t it? I really can’t believe how fast this year went by! Last year I published a post highlighting my favorite pieces of content from each month so I thought it was only fitting to keep the tradition going!

Some of my favorite moments from this year include traveling to Paris with Jess and Carly, celebrating my birthday in Montauk, visiting London for the first time, redesigning my bedroom as a part of the One Room Challenge, traveling to Newport, Rhode Island with my family, going back to Paris to watch my best friend get married, throwing my mom a surprise 60th birthday party and so much more!

I love that I get to share so many of these moments with you all!! Thank you for reading my little corner of the web everyday. You guys are the best and I can’t wait to show you the new and improved Lauren-Nelson.com come January.

What To Wear Christmas Morning and Beyond

I love this time of year when it’s perfectly acceptable to cozy on up in your favorite pajamas with a mug of hot cocoa and you’re favorite binge-worthy shows (I’m currently catching up on Homeland! So good).

Anyhow, each Christmas Eve my Aunt Jan stocks me up on new christmas pajamas that I wear throughout the holidays and well into winter. There’s something about a matching set of plaid pjs that make it really feel like Christmas! You know what I mean?

So if you’re not sure what to wear Christmas morning, I’ve got you covered with pieces you can wear well beyond the holidays. I recently picked up this plaid set from J.Crew. I (of course) love the classic holiday plaid but I also have my eyes on this set from Sleepy Jones. This robe from Ugg looks too cozy not to be included on my list and this oversized plaid shirt can double as a PJ top or casual weekend wear.
