2020 Gift Guide Series | 15 Beauty Gift Ideas
0

Our gift guide series continues with top beauty gift ideas for the beauty buff on your list!

And just in case you missed it, don’t forget to check out my earlier gift guides for: Her, Him, the Hostess and some of my favorites from years past on my holiday page right here.

PLUS you can take a peek at the best Black Friday sales you can continue to shop all weekend! There are SO many amazing sales happening right now including Shopbop — take 20% off your order of $200+! My go-to is White+Warren cashmere every time. I also recommend taking a look at their outerwear selection — I’m very into Woolwich right now. And their jean selection/brands like Mother, Agolde and Good American.

Other must-shop sales this weekend: Tuckernuck, Nordstrom, Saks and Sephora.

Sephora currently has a TON of great gift sets, offers & discounts on some of the most popular products in the beauty industry. My personal recommendation that I’m telling all of my girlfriends about is that if there is ONE beauty gift that is a must-buy this year whether for yourself your mom or sister — it’s the Dyson Air Wrap.

Yes, it is absolutely expensive coming in at $549 which is on sale (!!) at Sephora right now — however — it’s 100000% worth it!!!!!!! I’m not one to spend a ton of time doing my hair on a day-to-day basis which is why I love headbands so much. Once I tried one of my girlfriends air wrap earlier this fall, I fell in love with it instantly and would not stop talking about it.

The Air Wrap comes with 6 different attachments including the blow dryer so no matter if you like to curl your hair, prefer a round brush or a flat brush for a quick blow dry, the air wrap provides a ton of styling options. My other favorite feature is that it speeds up the drying process. And who doesn’t love a time saver? Anyways, go get the air wrap – I know you will love it. 🙂

Other beauty products on my radar this year: Artis Elite Mirror Ten Brush Set, NuFace Body and basically everything from Charlotte Tilbury.

Happy shopping!! Xo. Lauren

Paris-Biologique-Recherer

Today’s gift guide is always one of my favorites, the top gifts to give the beauty buff on your list!

I always enjoy giving my family & friends makeup or skincare products I personally use on repeat. What’s great about this gift guide is that all of these products are at great price points.

Palettes are always a great go-to gift — my number one gift to give is the Urban Decay Naked Eye Palette!! Highly, highly recommend for your mom, sister, friend or co-worker! What I love most about giving the gift of Urban Decay is that they have a wide variety of palettes to choose from all at great prices! Other palettes on my radar include his Nars Duo Eye Shadow and this Nars Highlighting Cheek Palette!

Other products that are currently in my makeup bag include that would make great stockings stuffers include this Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerize Cream Eyeshadow,  this Ouai Matte Pomade (I’m hooked!!) and a variety of Charlotte Tilburry Matte Revolution Lipsticks. If you’re not familiar with Charlotte Tilburry, I started using her products last year and have been pleasantly surprised with her entire line.

What are some of your favorite beauty gifts to give? Happy Shopping! Xo. Lauren

My Winter Skincare Routine
0

10-Winter-Skincare-Essentials

It finally feels like winter here in New York and boy do I feel it in my skin. My one main skin challenge throughout the year is dry skin so when the cold winter temperatures finally hit, my skin feels even more dry! I try extra hard during these winter months to keep my skin hydrated. Today I’ve rounded up a few of my key winter skincare favorites I’ve been using on repeat these past few weeks.

skin

  1. Cuadalie Serum: This is one product I’ve been using for years. I’m a huge fan of the entire Caudalie product line but their serums in particular during the winter months enhance the brightness of my skin and also  reduce blemishes caused by the wind.
  2. Chuda Sheer Hydrating Lotion & Chuda Healing Hydrating Cream: Chuda is a new-to-me skincare brand that was introduced to me earlier this year. I can’t recommend both of these products enough. I wear the Sheer Hydrating Lotion with SPF 30 during the day and the Hydrating Cream at night. It’s amazing how moisturizing the hydrating cream is – I noticed a difference even after the first wear.
  3. La Mer Moisturizing Cream: I’m sure you’ve heard by now but this moisturizing cream is a game changer. If you battle dry skin during the winter, La Mer’s moisturizing cream is a must-add to your winter skincare routine.
  4. Ta Ta Harper Regenerating Cleanser & Volumizing Lip/Cheek Tint: My friend Amy introduced me to the Ta Ta Harper regenerating cleanser and I’ve been using it ever since. It’s gentle on my skin, reduces the look of pores and leaves my skin glowing – perfect for these cold winter months! The lip/cheek tint is also a winter skincare must – I’ve been opting for a more natural look during maw work week so I love this product to give my lips and cheeks a little color.
  5. RMS Magic Beauty Luminizer: Everyone is talking about RMS beauty right now. It’s a natural, organic beauty line with a cult-like following. If there’s one product you must buy from this line is the magic luminizer. I personally love it to give my cheeks a healthy glow – again, great for achieving a natural look!
  6. The NuFace Mini: I recently got a facial at Great Jones Spa where the aesthetician introduced me to the NuFace Mini, an at-home micro current device that helps with the collagen reproduction. I’ve been recommending this product to everyone who’s interested in hearing about it. They recently introduced a body product that’s great to help reduce the look of cellulite! Microcurrent mimics this natural current and goes beyond skin deep to tone facial muscles while improving contour and skin tone, and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  7. Charlotte Tilsberry Sheet Mask: I use a sheet mask every single week during the winter – it’s one of the easiest ways to keep your skin hydrated during the winter. I use everything from Charlotte Tilsberry to Sephora’s face mask collection.

2017 Gift Guide Series | The Best Beauty and Makeup Gift Sets To Give This Year
0

Gift-Guide-Beauty-And-Makeup-Gift-Sets-Holiday-Shopping

One of my favorite gift guides to create each and every year is the one dedicated to beauty and make up gift sets! Honestly, this is one of the best times to invest in skincare or make up brands you love as these value sets are truly phenomenal.

In case you’re just tuning in, we’re in the middle of my 2017 gift guide series! So far we’ve launched the top gifts for her, the top gifts for him as well as the top holiday plaid gifts to give this year. My fourth (and personal) favorite gift guide launching today is dedicated to skincare and make up. You can shop each and every gift guide by clicking on the black and white plus sign next to each product in the collage above. Or if that’s too hard, I’ve linked to every product featured below under “Shop The Post.”

After browsing a few of my favorite retailers for the best beauty and makeup gift sets, I’ve come to the conclusion that these below are just too good to pass up. Plus, the single products I’ve linked to (ones not included in a value set) I use in my daily skincare routine and hope you love just as much as I do. Let’s get to it, shall we?

My mom is going to go crazy for this huge lip kit from Sephora – can you believe how many lip glosses, balms and lipsticks are included in this set for $70 dollars? This would make such a good gift or stocking stuffer! I also thought this skin wonderland set that comes with Sephora’s best skincare sellers would be a great starter kit for anyone wanting to enhance their skincare routine. I will be stocking up on this L’occitane hand cream set – you cannot beat this $30 dollar price point. Last but not least, I’m dying to try the new Gucci sent, Bloom – you can shop a 3-piece gift set for $129!

Product Highlights — I’ve used Dermalogica in my skincare routine since I was 25 – this power firm eye cream is the best and this pre-cleanse is great for removing oils and unclogging pores. This Hourglass ambient palette is one of the best for highlighting your cheeks during the holiday season. This Charlotte Tilbery eye shadow palette is perfect for a smokey eye. Last but not least, a new discovery that I’m slightly obsessed with is this Henne Luxury Lip Tint ($21.95 dollars)- it’s a great, clean alternative to Dior’s Lip Glow ($33 dollars).
