Gift-Guide-For-Him

Today’s gift guide is all about gifs for him! Whether you’re shopping for your dad, brother, hubby or uncle, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite gifts I’ve given my dad and boyfriend over the years (hi dad!).

An easy win is anything electronic — the Bose Quite Comfort Wireless Headphones are a great gift for under $400 dollars. Or you could do the Bose Noise Masking Sleepbuds for even less — $250 dollars! If you’re looking to spend around $100 dollars, Google Home, Sonos Play 1, or the Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth are all great options.

My dad is a huge fan of the Art of Shaving — this gift set from Nordstrom is a great starter set for any one who hasn’t tried the brand yet!  I’m also a huge fan of Tumi for men – they have a wide variety of travel products to choose from. My personal favorite is this Tumi carry on.

Be sure to check back everyday, sign up for my weekly newsletter or follow me on Instagram to stay up-to-date with my latest holiday content!

2018 Gift Guide Series — The Top Gifts For Her

Monika-Hibbs-Holiday-Mantel

My 2018 Holiday Gift Guide Series is here!! This is my 7th year (!!) rounding up the best holiday gifts to give (and get) this holiday season. Today’s gift guide is dedicated for the top gifts for her! From Chanel loafers to dainty diamond jewelry (this diamond necklace is a favorite), below is a mix of classic wardrobe staples you can wear on repeat all year long. Be sure to check back every day, sign up for my weekly newsletter or follow me on Instagram to stay up-to-date with my latest holiday content!

One. Diptyque candles are my top gift to give each and every year — Roses and Baies are my personal favorite scents. What I love most about giving these candles is that you can shop the small version for $35 dollars or the larger version for $65 dollars. For a gift exchange last year, I picked out this Diptyque mini candle set for $78 dollars!

Two. For the beauty buff on your list, I bought this La Mer Mini Set for my mom last year which she loved! The price point is just right under $100 dollars.

Three. I met Dana Rebecca over 5 years ago when I was living in Chicago and had a chance to visit her showroom. These huggies are on my Christmas list as well as this bar pendant necklace — so many of my best friends has this in rose gold!

Four. Classic pearl studs from David Yurman.

Five.  A Michelle watch is another jewelry staple that is perfect for your everyday collection.

Six. My girlfriend has these Chanel loafers and they are so pretty. I also like that they are different than the classic ballet flats. You can shop them on The Real Real.

Seven. The Gucci Disco Bag — I own in black but love in the red, too!

Eight. A girl can never go wrong with adding a Barbour jacket to your winter wardrobe!

Nine. A camel cashmere scarf perfect for winter travel.

Ten. Another item on my Christmas list, Le Labo perfume in Santal 33.

Eleven. Gucci loafers or mules for work are a must.

Twelve. I’ve noticed many of my girlfriends have started accessorizing with oversized clutches and absolutely love the look.

Thirteen. Last but not least, a moisturizing face mask for these cold winter months will not disappoint.

Decorating With Plaid | Where To Buy Plaid Tartan Pillows & Throws
0

How-To-Decorate-With-Plaid

There’s nothing quite as classic than decorating with plaid. Whether it be a beautiful tartan or a simple buffalo check, if there’s one thing I learned from my mom in regards to how to decorate for the holidays it’s that one must always decorate with plaid.

I’ve only just scratched the surface on my plaid collection compared to my mom but you better believe I’m on a mission! Last year my mom gave me not one, but TWO Pendleton plaid blankets for Christmas. A beautiful red and green tartan plaid (similar) and a classic blue, gray and green plaid blanket (similar) — both are currently on display throughout my apartment.

One of my favorite plaid purchases to-date has to be this beautiful green wool plaid blanket produced in one of the oldest Scottish Mills I picked up at a boutique in Lenox, MA when I visited Annie Selke’s 33 Main last year called Mackimmie Co. I don’t think they have an online shop but if you message the owner on Instagram, she’s more than happy to place an order over the internet and ship directly — which is exactly what I’m going to do this year!

If you’re looking to shop online directly, Williams-Sonoma in my opinion has the best collection of plaid throws and pillows this year. My number one pick has to be this Jacquard Cashmere Throw. And if there is one plaid item on my wish list, it would have to be this Ralph Lauren Black Watch Throw Pillow.

Be sure to check out all of my top picks below! Xo. Lauren

The Top 12 Candlesticks and Hurricanes
0

Ralph-Lauren-Table-Setting-How-To-Set-The-Table

One of the simplest ways to enhance your holiday table is to mix and match candle sticks, hurricanes and votives. I’ve been collecting these pieces for the past two years and am a firm believer you can never have too many!

Last year my mom bought me this large Arlington Nickel Hurricane from Pottery Barn and silver candle sticks. Although they don’t have the exact candle sticks in stock, Williams-Sonoma currently has a similar version that you can shop right here.

What I love most about collecting these items is that they don’t have to be expensive and they are readily available to shop across a wide variety of retailers. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorites I currently have my eye on! Insert these Serena and Lily Cafford Candle Sticks which would look beautiful on any table or mantel.  These antiqued brass candle sticks provide a polished accent and are affordable! This pair of crystal candle sticks are in my shopping cart as we speak — only $20 for two! Last but not least, you could incorporate these wooden candle sticks from McGee and Co. in to tablescapes all year round.

Hurricanes are another home decor item that you can use all year long — I’ve seen these Ralph Lauren Classic 14″ Hurricane Gold in the RL Mansion uptown and the brand also incorporated them in their DIFFA table last year. They are so pretty but so pricey. If you can afford to invest in these, I say do it! More affordable options include this Aerin Brass Trim Hurricane and this Antique Mercury Hurricane. However, my next hurricane purchases will be this Williams-Sonoma Classic Glass Hurricane and Juliska Amalia Candle Holder since I don’t have this style yet.

You can shop all of my favorite styles below! Xo. Lauren
