3 Different Gallery Wall Ideas For 2017
0

You know I love a good gallery wall! Above is the one I created in my last apartment and I’m currently trying to figure out if I will be incorporating a gallery wall in my new UES apartment. I know how hard it can be to create a cohesive gallery wall so today I thought I would put together three different gallery wall ideas you can incorporate into your home this year! Whenever I create a gallery wall, I like to stick to a theme so I focused on themes I personally love: the Beach (duh), Europe (Paris), and an Abstract theme utilizing prints and photographs from my ever-favorite Minted.

I particularly love shopping for prints on Minted because they make it so easy – you can choose the frame, size and matte. The price points are also easy on your bank account!! In case you need more help designing a gallery wall, check out my tips on how to create the ultimate gallery wall here! P.s. you can shop each gallery wall by clicking on the black and white plus sign next to each frame and I’ve also included the links / images below with the direct links. If you have an idea for a gallery wall that you’d like me to help you design, shoot me a note at lauren@lauren-nelson.com.

Happy New Year! Xo. Lauren

Happy Monday, friends! Can you believe it’s the first Monday of 2017? How was everyones New Years Eve?

Last year I did a blog post around 5 tips for creating your 2016 inspiration board so this year I thought I could create the inspiration board for you! I included links below of where you could print out the images. You can also find the majority of images on my Chasing Summer Pinterest page.

A few of my favorite tips when creating an inspiration board: Start collecting your favorite images whether it be magazine tear outs, pieces of fabric, quotes, cards, and print outs. I love laying out the images before I pin them to my pinboard. Don’t be afraid to use your gallery wall as apart of your overall gallery wall. Do incorporate jewelry or sparkly items to up the glam factor!

Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy 2017!

Happy New Years Eve, party people!

I cannot believe 2017 officially begins tomorrow, can you? In case you missed it, I rounded up some of my favorite moments from 2016 and oh, what a good year it was!

In honor of New Years Eve I thought it would be fun to put together the ultimate New Years Eve bar checklist. What’s great about this checklist is that you can use it for your party tonight and beyond!

Ever since I moved to the UES, I’ve been dying for a new bar cart. I’ve had my eye on this Williams-Sonoma silver bar cart for quite some time and I think I may just pull the trigger. Other bar cart must-haves: bubbles (Veueve, of course!), Mixers (Vermouth for dirty martinis, bitters and citrus mixers!

Bubbles + More

Must have stocked: Vodka, Scotch, Bourbon, Tequila, Gin, Rum, Orange Liquor, Campari, Grand Marnier and champagne!

Mixers

Vermouth, Bitters, citrus mixers, craft syrups. Let’s not forget the soda water and tonic.

Bar Tools

Shaker, ice bucket + tongsstrainer, jigger, stirrer, vintage coasters, wine and beer opener.

Garnishes

Green olives, fresh berries, herb sprigs, citrus slices, sugars, salts and lots of ice! Adding fresh berries to champagne is one of my go-to moves whenever I host a party. <3

Barware

One should always have on hand: Highballs, tumblerswine glasses and champagne flutes.

Extra Details

It’s all in the details! Don’t forget: fresh flowers (duh), gold striped straws, fun cocktail napkins, a rattan tray and a marble ice bucket!

Get The Look: A Neutral Bedroom

When it comes to learning how to design a bedroom, it can be quite challenging for some. This especially rings true when you’re dealing with smaller spaces! I recently came across this beautiful neutral bedroom by Amanda Barnes on My Domaine. What I love most about this bedroom is that it achieves a perfect mix of tranquility without skimping on color. Adding a piece of furniture like a bench at the foot of the bed allows for a look of luxury and sophistication. The flow of your bedroom is also crucial – you never want to obstruct walkways. If your bedroom is limited in size, choosing a narrow bench is a great alternative to help add dimension to your bedroom.
