It’s no secret around here that I love me a good coffee table book. If only my New York City apartment was a littttttle bit bigger, I would have much more laying around. Today I’ve rounded up 12 coffee table books to give this holiday season!
What I love most about giving coffee table books is that you can find one at any price point. They are the perfect stocking stuffer, hostess gift, or gift for the home decor lover. Today’s list include some classics like Tom Ford and some new favorites like Lauren Leiss’ new book, Habitat. Other must-have coffee table books include St. Barths, Rowing Blazers, A Privileged Life and Allegra Hicks – most of which were included in my One Room Challenge re-design! You can take a pick at my top 12 picks below. Happy Shopping!! Xo. Lauren
Friends! My apologies for the radio silence around here. December has been more hectic than I originally planned. I was out sick half of the week last week and then traveled back to Cleveland last Friday to throw my mom a SURPRISE 60th birthday party! SO. Here we are December 14th already. The good news is that I have a bunch of great content lined up this week so be sure to check back! And in case you missed it, Style Me Pretty featured my One Room Challenge re-design right here. Another big thank you to LaurenConrad.com and Glitter Guide for featuring my jewelry display!
Anywho, today I have a REALLY pretty home feature to share with you guys that I originally saw on Lonny. Kemble Interiors created a colorful and stylish family abode that I would certainly move right into. The master bedroom is hands down my favorite room utilizing Farrow & Ball’s cornflower blue wallpaper (adding this to my wallpaper roster) combined with a custom navy blue headboard and monogrammed pillows, I’m pretty much all around obsessed. To take a peak at the entire home tour, head right this way. Happy Monday! Lauren
Happy Wednesday, friends! I’m back at home in Ohio for the holidays and thought it was only appropriate to share a few snapshots from my parents house. I wanted to hire a professional photographer to take these photos but it just did not work out this time around so iPhone photos will have to do!
In case you couldn’t tell, my mom and I have this thing for ginger jars and plaid. Also, the mini christmas trees below she bought years ago and now Pottery Barn is carrying a very similar version! You can shop them right here. I’ve also included a few links of similar products from our house below. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!! Xo. Lauren
Welcome to the One Room Challenge — the final reveal!
It’s been a busy six weeks but I’m so happy with how everything came together in my bedroom. In case you are just tuning in, myself and these interior design enthusiasts committed to designing a room in just six weeks. You can catch up on weeks one through five right here.
When I first started thinking about my re-design, I knew I wanted my bedroom to capture my evolving east coast style. I wanted to incorporate blue and white with a mix of Montauk inspired prints.
The first challenge I faced was deciding on a paint color — I ultimately went with BEHR’s blue me away and couldn’t be happier with the color! The blue is a super light shade but can also look darker at different points throughout the day based on the light. I would highly recommend this paint color if you’re looking for a light sea blue hue!
The next task on my list was finding the perfect (small) white desk that could double as my nightstand. After living in my apartment for 2 years without having a place to work (besides my couch), I thought it was time I treated myself to an appropriate work area!! I opted for West Elm’s Mini Mid-Century Desk which ended up fitting the exact dimensions between my bed and the wall. A huge win for a tiny space!
One of my absolute favorite moments throughout the one room challenge was working with the team over at Gray Malin! A BIG thank you to Gray and team for my Maroubra Swimmers piece.
I’ve been a fan of Gray’s work for years so I knew there wasn’t anyone else I wanted to work with for the statement piece above my bed. I debated between his La Dolce Vita series and A La Plage series for WEEKS. I opted for the Maroubra Swimmers piece because I felt like it hasn’t been overdone and I will be able to use this piece in future apartments/homes for years to come.
Now let’s talk bedding! I absolutely love Pottery Barn’s navy and white frame bedding. This bedding comes in a wide variety of colors and sizes to fit any sized bed. To help personalize my space even further, I worked with Sue over at the Zhush on my monogrammed pillows! I incorporated a second set of navy and white striped pillows from Society Social that helped me create a balanced yet layered look. The sheets are Brooklyn & Bond which you can pick up at Target!
Minted helped me create the ultimate seaside gallery wall!
I moved my Ikea Kallax Bookshelf which was where my desk currently is located and moved it to a different corner of my room. It is now being put to use as my jewelry stand. There’s nothing prettier than displaying all of your baubles in one place! Another trick that is always stylish is using Diptqyue vases as a brush holder. The gold mirrored tray you can find at World Market and is only $29.99.
Last but not least, I had the best experience working with the team over at the Shade Store. I opted for their Standard Woven Wood Shade in Seaview-6. Adding this custom shade really helped me achieve the Hampton’s style that I adore right here in the city!
