Hi friends!! Hope you’re all having a lovely week.
Apologies things have been a little quiet this week. I have been traveling all over the place – Atlanta for 24 hours on Monday. New Jersey for a conference Wednesday through Friday and then I’m headed straight back to Montauk Friday evening! In case you saw my Instagram post earlier this week I mentioned how I met someone on the train to Montauk last weekend who said “New York is like camping.”
And guess what?
He’s right!! I will have only slept in my bed one time this week. However, I can’t complain too much because this summer has been such a blast.
In other life news, I decided to stay in my apartment one more year because moving in New York is such a pain. My lease is up at the end of September so searching for a new apartment is the last thing I want to do right now. The other benefit to not moving is that I can continue to spend my money on shopping and travel vs. paying a brokers fee, movers and doubling my rent.
So given light of this, I told myself that if I stay in my apartment one more year…drumb roll, please….. I am going to completely re-design my bedroom!!!!
I’m excited to be working with some fabulous brands (more to come on this soon) and cannot wait to get started. My goal is to document the process and then give you guys some updates along the way. #YAY
I love the (re)design process because it feels like a fresh start. I’m most certainly going to invest in some new bedding and have been stalking Pinterest for some major inspiration. I do find myself going back to one style though – the classic border frame bedding!!! I love the clean lines and how the border bedding instantly makes a bedroom feel more sophisticated. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite looks below! I’ll keep you posted on my final decision but open to any and all bedding recos! Xo. Lauren

I swear if you are in a summer wardrobe slump, just go to Surf Lodge on a Saturday night to see what some of the most fashionable girls in Manhattan are wearing this summer. From Illesteva colored mirrored sunnies to Loeffler Randall fringe flats, Montauk knows a thing or too about must-have summer wardrobe staples.
Anywho, after our last trip the other weekend I decided it’s about time I pick up some of these cute and trendy tops.
