How I Style Our Kitchen | My Favorite Kitchen Decor
0

Galley Kitchen Decor

I love our little galley kitchen here in New York and how it’s come together over the years. I need to snap some more photos for you guys but in the meantime today I wanted to share how I style our kitchen!

Some of my favorite pieces I’ve collected over time include this cute little breadbox, this Williams-Sonoma cutting board, a sailboat photo I picked up on Nantucket (similar), and a white tray to display a mini lamp, coffee mug tree and mugs! One of my favorite kitchen styling tips is rotating coffee mugs based on the season — right now I have the white Juliska Berry and Thread mugs on display and will soon swap out soon for the Pottery Barn plaid mugs! Also, if you don’t have a mini lamp in your kitchen — I couldn’t recommend more. It creates a warm light and is great to keep on if you need a night light in your kitchen.

Other cute and affordable items I have on display include this white marble wine canister (only $20!) — I use this piece so many different ways. We use it to hold wine of course, but I also use it to display olive oil or candle if we have people over. I style this white milk glass cake stand next to our cookbooks. And I actually use this marble wine chiller for our wooden spoons!

Last but not least, if you need a little help organizing your kitchen take a peek at my blog posts — 15 Organizing Essentials I Bought After Watching The Home Edit and Tidying Up post here!

Christmas Decor | Prepping For The Holidays
0

Prepping for the holidays and shopping for new christmas decor might be one of my favorite pastimes. I always enjoy seeing the latest holiday collections from Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, Ralph Lauren, Juliska and more!

Last year I finally bought us a new christmas tree from Grandin Road and I couldn’t recommend it more. We went with the 7.5″ Aspen Pine Tree and psssst…. the flocked version is just as cute! If you’re looking for more affordable tree options, I always like Home Depot’s selection.

There were a few items I didn’t purchase last year that I officially added to my 2020 shopping list. Insert —

Tree Topper: I found this pretty gold star tree topper from McGee and Co. and can’t wait to see it in person! I’ve been searching high and low and this one made the cut. Plus it’s only $36 dollars! Target also has a wide selection at really great price points.

Tree Collar: Last year I covered the base of my tree with a white sheet. This year I want to pick up a wicker tree collar and found several great options that are in stock btw! I love these two from Pottery Barn: The handwoven vine tree collar and this beachcomber basket beach collar. This split willow tree collar from Target is only $45 dollars but sold out super early last year so recommend getting it now!

Miniature Christmas Trees: Growing up my mom had several little christmas trees throughout every room in our house. Each year I try to add to my collection and if there’s one thing I’ve learned — don’t skimp on these or else you end up throwing them out. Even though the miniatures tend to be around $70-$100 dollars per tree, they will last you longer than a cheapy you find on Amazon!

Plaid Pillows & Throws: Ok, I’m really kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on these RL pillows & throw last year. If you can catch them on sale this season, I highly recommend. The quality is amazing & you guys know I love decorating with plaid!! Take a peek at my “decorating with plaid” blog post from 2018 here.

Get The Look, Nancy Meyers Edition | Something’s Gotta Give Dining Room
2

Ok!! We’re back by popular demand — Get The Look, Nancy Meyers Edition!!! Today’s blog post is dedicated to Something’s Gotta Give Dining Room. I’m so glad many of you, like me, are watching all of Nancy Meyers movies on repeat right now! Oh, and in case you missed it – don’t miss my Somethings Gotta Give Living Room blog post. Is it time to start house hunting in Sagaponeck yet?

A few things I learned when researching behind-the-scene details of the Something’s Gotta Give dinning room – Beth Rubino found the beautiful round dinning table at Rose Tarlow in Los Angeles where you can still shop similar versions today! I included the Hobbs table in my roundup below – isn’t she a beaut? The design team also incorporated Lee Sofa’s Bordeaux Toile fabric on the chairs but unfortunately it has since been discontinued. The good news is you can easily find a similar toile fabric on Decorators Best — or this print from Kravet is beautiful.

What I love most about the dining room scene is that many of the details are easy for us to replicate. I searched high and low for the water and wine goblets that most closely replicate the ones in the movie and found the Perigord Wineglass Set from La Rochelle & the Edward Goblets Set from Williams Sonoma!

Other must-have details include:

You can shop the entire look below! And be sure to come back next week, I’ll be breaking down the bedrooms from Something’s Gotta Give movie set. Thank you to everyone who commented on my Instagram sharing which other movie scenes you’d love to be included in our special get the look series!!! Xo. Lauren

Easter Tabletop Inspiration
2

Top Easter Tabletop Decor
In case you love setting a table as much as I do, today I’m sharing my top easter tabletop decor from Williams Sonoma, Tory Burch & more!

Although Easter will look a little different for millions of families across the country this year, it shouldn’t stop us from setting the table! Today I’m rounding up some classic Easter tabletop decor.

Williams Sonoma, Juliska & Tory Burch all have so many pretty spring tabletop pieces that would compliment any Easter tablescape! And in case you like shopping for a cause, Juliska is offering 25% off with a portion of proceeds going to the Covid-19 Meals on Wheels fund.

A few Easter favorites —

  • Williams Sonoma’s etched tabletop collection reminds me of late grandmothers everyday glasses – I love the hand etching in the floral motif.
  • How cute are these little bunny bowls? You could easily incorporate these throughout your kitchen & living room!
  • If there is one collection I’ll be investing in next it’s Tory Burch’s Lettuce Ware tabletop — my girlfriend Nicole definitely inspired me here!
  • This pitcher is a table show stopper.

Hope everyone stays safe this week! For more tabletop inspiration, check out my interiors section right here. Xo. Lauren
