What To Pack For A Weekend In Montauk
2

Hello, party people! How was everyone’s weekend? I’m pretty excited for this week as I will be crossing off not one – but two – items off of my 27 things to do before 28! You can check out all my goals I’d like to accomplish here but tonight includes a macaroon making class with JessHallieHithaCarly & Mackenzie at Dana’s Bakery in New Jersey. In addition to the macaroon making class, this weekend I’m headed on a little girls trip to Montauk.

Solid and Striped Lookbook

I’ve only been to Montauk once (and it was very brief) since I have moved to New York so I cannot wait to get back to it’s beautiful beaches.

We are staying at the Montauk Yacht Club and I couldn’t be more excited. You can check out the rooms here, but can we talk about the navy and white striped curtains in the room? Obsessed.

To get this week started on the right foot, I’ve rounded up a few items that will be in my weekender including multiple striped shirts/sweaters, SPF, beach rackets and more! We’ll be dining at Ruschmeyers, watching the sunset at Surf Lodge, and taking a surf lesson (eek!). I have never surfed before so that last part should be interesting. More to come on Montauk this week but hope everyone has a great Monday! Xo. Lauren

Summer Style | What To Wear For July 4th

July-4th-Style-2

Happy Monday, friends! How was everyone’s weekend? The weather couldn’t have been nicer here in New York. I spent most of the weekend shopping and lounging in Central Park with Jess, Hallie and Mackenzie! All in all it was a much needed R&R weekend.

Can you believe July 4th is right around the corner? Today I’ve put together not one, but TWO stylish outfits I’d be more than happy to rock this 4th of July.

When I think of my 4th of July Day style, comfort is a must followed by the obvious must-wear colors of red, white and blue. I found the perfect navy maxi from Old Navy for only $29.99 (+ you can shop 20% off until tomorrow – score!). Maxi’s are great for layering as well. I’m obsessing over this Gap denim vest and this vineyard vines anchor scarf for the ultimate casual-cool look.

The second look is made up of my go-to stripes and white denim (insert Rag & Bone and AG jeans for quality and comfort). Karen Walker makes the best sunglasses and these RL slip on sneakers are a no brainer. What will you be wearing this 4th of July? Xo. Lauren

Navy Summer Essentials
0

South-of-France-Hotel-Luxury-Vacation

I have to admit, summer is my favorite season. I even rank it before fall (iiiiii know). But for me, there’s nothing better than easy, breezy dresses and sandals. Plus a summer beach house and living in a bathing suit all summer doesn’t hurt this ranking as well. I also think it’s funny how my summer wardrobe drastically differs from my fall wardrobe. Summer brings out my inner prep (whites, navy’s, & hot pink – everywhere) but when fall hits, I embrace the trendy New Yorker inside of me (black, neutrals, grays – you get it). So in support of my summer, warm weather obsession, today I bring you my must-have navy essentials. Because let’s be honest, who doesn’t love white and navy in the summer? And in the form of stripes? Even better.

Let me introduce this killer swimsuit from Tory Burch. I’m always on the lookout for new swimsuits and try to stay away from your classic Victoria Secret buys, so branching out when it comes to swimsuit season is key for me. Speaking of Tory, this portofino jumpsuit? It has my name written all over it. There’s something about espadrilles in the summer – whether they be in the form of flats or wedges. I have my heart on these Lilly Pulitzer Wedge Espadrilles and in case you are more of a flats girl, Soludos has you covered. You can shop numerous different styles all for about $30-$60 dollars (I guess these should have been included in the roundup – love). Last but not least, I need to get my mom this stripe navy + white tote bag (and maybe one for myself).

Step Into Spring | The Best of Spring Shoes

Step2

Guilty. I’m obsessed with spring sandals. It’s so easy to pick up a pair here or there. Somehow my shoe closet ends up overflowing and if you live in New York, you know that’s a problem. Today I’ve rounded up some of my favorite brands and styles of the season. From casual espadrilles for weekend wear to cutout heels for a night out on the town, there is so much goodness to choose from. I particularly love everything cutout at the moment like these Sam Edelman lace up heels or these colorful L.A.M.B. heels. Also, vince? Killing it in the shoe department. Need these. Wedges, however, tend to be my favorite style season after season. They are just so comfortable to wear from day-to-night. Who’s with me? These are just pretty or these will do just fine too. What’s your go-to style of the season? Xo. Lauren
