Introducing the Blanket Scarf: My Top 10 Picks
11

True story: I’m a freeze baby. My co-workers can attest to this because I literally have a blanket, space heater and multiple scarves sitting at my desk at any given time…you? So it’s safe to say that being a freeze baby has prompted my blanket scarf obsession.

If I ever develop a product line, I always say the first thing I would want to launch is a scarf line simply due to how often I wear scarves. As a result, I’ve searched high and low for the best of the best so today I bring you my Top 10 Blanket Scarves of the Season!

  • Zara is clearly the front runner this season. I’ve already bought three out of the four I’ve listed below. They have such a wide variety to choose from plus I just love how big they are.
  • Second up, Asos. Multiple great options but my favorite is out of stock at the moment. Be sure to sign up for the alert when it comes back in stock!
  • Next up, Jcrew and Madewell. Same company so this is a tie.
  • Honorable mention, Vince. I just can’t bring myself to spend $325 on a blanket scarf when there are so many other good ones at much more affordable price points, ammi right?

1. Zara Checkered Scarf: $29 dollars – Purchased. Wearing as I type this. $29 dollars. Need I say more?

2. Zara Jacquard Scarf: $49.90 dollars – Also purchased and also obsessed with.

3. Zara Multicolored Scarf: $49.90 dollars – Must.buy.

4. Asos Oversized Square Scarf: $34 dollars – Asos generally makes great blanket scarves season after season and this one is no exception.

Summer Basics
2

This summer I have seriously relied on simple summer basics. There is just something about throwing on your go-to jeans and a striped tee. I also have been traveling quite a bit and find that the trains tend to be freezing so I always almost wear jeans to the train.

I picked up this striped sweater at the J.Crew outlet last summer at Woodbury Commons (side note: if you live in the New York/CT area, you have to go to Woodbury Commons. They have every single designer/retailer you could think of a.k.a a little slice of heaven). The jeans I’m wearing I picked up at AG in SoHo. Although I do have my favorite Paiges, Sevens, etc. I tend myself reaching for my AG‘s more likely then not. More-so because I can wear them multiple times without washing (gross?), and I find they have the best fit for my body type. Do you have a go-to travel outfit? Have a great Tuesday, loves! Xo. Summer Style | Chambray Two Ways
0

I love investing in pieces that I know I will re-wear multiple times over. Insert the chambray shirt. Chambray is the perfect summertime alternative to your favorite heavy denim and is the perfect piece to take you from summer to fall. This particular cloth originated in Northern France but has been an American staple for years because of it’s roots in the U.S. Navy uniform. Below I’ve curated two ways you can rock chambray this summer. From light printed pants and heels to a more casual day look with the cutest stripe skirt and flats, chambray is one of the easiest pieces to help transform your wardrobe. You can shop more of my chambray favorites below. Happy Shopping! Lauren

Summer Style | What To Wear For July 4th
3

July-4th-Style-2

Happy Monday, friends! How was everyone’s weekend? The weather couldn’t have been nicer here in New York. I spent most of the weekend shopping and lounging in Central Park with Jess, Hallie and Mackenzie! All in all it was a much needed R&R weekend.

Can you believe July 4th is right around the corner? Today I’ve put together not one, but TWO stylish outfits I’d be more than happy to rock this 4th of July.

When I think of my 4th of July Day style, comfort is a must followed by the obvious must-wear colors of red, white and blue. I found the perfect navy maxi from Old Navy for only $29.99 (+ you can shop 20% off until tomorrow – score!). Maxi’s are great for layering as well. I’m obsessing over this Gap denim vest and this vineyard vines anchor scarf for the ultimate casual-cool look.

The second look is made up of my go-to stripes and white denim (insert Rag & Bone and AG jeans for quality and comfort). Karen Walker makes the best sunglasses and these RL slip on sneakers are a no brainer. What will you be wearing this 4th of July? Xo. Lauren
