The Serena and Lily Bedroom Sale Event
2

We slowly have been making apartment updates throughout the pandemic. Like so many others, staying at home 99% of the time makes you realize everything you could change or switch out! We finally hung art that I was dragging my feet on, switched out lighting in our entry way and living room and most recently, bought a few new pieces of furniture for our bedroom!

Our bedroom will be the biggest transformation post-pandemic. It operates as my office and I definitely needed to make some changes if our working from home situation was going to continue. I can’t wait to share photos with you guys!

Anywho, we were waiting to make the final big purchase which is a new king bed from Serena and Lily. They are currently running their bedroom sale event so it was the perfect time to finally take the plunge! I love so many of their bed frame styles. Our front runners were the Pondicherry — I also love the version with nailheads. I am obsessed with their new Franklin bed but Josh didn’t love the four poster and I was worried the scale wouldn’t work in our NYC apartment. I will definitely keep this in mind for our future house!

We ultimately went with the Fulton Tufted Bed in the perennials white performance fabric!! I debated going with a color like their sky or fog swatch options but know the white is classic and will be easier to style in future rooms and houses to come.

One quick tip too is that Serena and Lily does provide quick ship options in select bed frame styles & stocked fabric. The Fulton Tufted could be quick shipped in the chalk fabric. We seriously debated this option after visiting the Westport location the other weekend as they had a few different pieces of furniture on the floor in chalk! I love that the chalk is more textured and appears that it could hide stains more easily. It also appears more white in person compared to the swatch which is darker. Both the chair and bed below seen here are in chalk!

We also purchased new sheets & bedding! We went with the Bel Air Duvet Cover which we currently have and love – it’s light and keeps us cool. For sheets, we went with the classic ring sheet in French blue. And last but not least, we needed a new king duvet insert and went with the Primaloft duvet — I have never tried this brand before but will report back!

Happy shopping. Xx. Lauren

Serena and Lily Bedroom Inspiration
0

You can shop so many beautiful pieces from Serena and Lily’s latest arrivals and this four poster bed might be my top pick.

I’m currently in the midst of working on our bedroom redesign at the moment now that we’ve resigned our lease and investing in a king bed is at the top of the list! It’s definitely taken me way too long to decide on what we should do for the bed. I’ve wanted to go custom for quite some time but the fabric alone adds up!! By the time you purchase the fabric, order the bed and pay for white glove shipping you’re easily looking at $3,000 and up.  As a result, I’m looking at a few different custom options from Serena and Lily and think this could be a great solution for us as fabric is included in the price. In addition to the four poster bed in the design below, a few of my favorite styles include this white cane bed, the Pondicherry bed, and the tall Franklin bed.

Outside of a new king bed, I recently picked up new white table lamps from Circa Lighting  and invested in a new white dresser from North Carolina furniture maker, Rile & Stile. They don’t have a website but you can take a peek at their instagram right here. Last but not least, a piece of art form Mary Maguire is also at the top of my list!!

Are you working on any home projects at the moment? Would love to hear about them! Xx. Lauren

Project Upper East Side: My Bedroom Reveal
5

pillows (1 of 1)

You guys!!! I’m so excited to finally share with you my bedroom reveal! In case you are just tuning in, I moved to the Upper East Side at the end of last year. I redesigned my old bedroom as part of the One Room Challenge which you can see right here. Although moving is such a pain in New York, I was very excited to have the chance to makeover a totally new space. It’s taken longer than expected to finish my apartment (as many of you know, my living room is still in the works!) but nonetheless, the bedroom is FINALLY finished so here it is. I am so happy with how it turned out and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without working with amazing brands like Gray Malin, The Mine, Gansett Lane Home, Annie Selke and more.

My Favorite Items From Horchow
0

John-Robshaw-Lapis-Quilt-Studio-McGee

I have been shopping on Horchow for what seems like – forever! They carry some of my favorite brands including Jonathan Adler, John Robshaw, Ralph Lauren and so on. I have picked up numerous items from Horchow to-date from dinnerware to bath accessories to my couch! One of my favorite things about Horchow is they constantly do flash sales! So if you have your eye on a specific product, you could catch it on a surprise flash sale.

A few of my favorite items from Horchow!

I have been obsessed with this Jonathan Adler shower curtain for quite some time – need to pull the trigger!

My mom taught me you can never have too many white throw blankets. I like to use these on my white couch to make sure I don’t spill anything. #clutz

Ever since I moved to the Upper East side, I’ve been investing in mixed blue and white plates. Who said everything needs to match all the time?

Horchow has the best Ralph Lauren bar ware. How cute are these cocktail picks? Need them for my bar cart asap.

My next purchase from Horchow is most certainly going to be a John Robshaw quilt – I really want one of these to include in my bedroom reveal!

This white marble coffee table has been featured in Studio-McGee home tours and is definitely on my radar.
