Jet Set: Miami
1

south-beach-miami

Memorial Day weekend is one of my favorite weekends of the year. It’s officially summer which means warm weather, brunching outdoors, walks through Central Park, travel, travel and more travel. Oh, and there’s so many great sales to shop (hoping to have my roundup for you guys tomorrow or Saturday so definitely stop back here!) Anywho, I’m currently on my way to Miami for a bachelorette party. I’ve only been to Miami once before (two years ago) and I loved it. The vibrant colors, the sleek hotels, the colorful lifeguard stands, and beautiful weather, it’s truly hard not to fall in love with Miami. Plus it’s such a quick trip from New York.

On Monday I shared my packing guide for Memorial Day so if you’re headed somewhere warm this weekend (or over the next few weekends for that matter) definitively check it out. And in case you’re just in a shopping mode today, I’ve included links to all of my spring product round ups. You’re welcome. Have a great Thursday, my friends!! Be sure to add me on Snapchat (laurennelsonny) + Instagram to see what we’re up to in Miami this weekend. Oh, and if you have any Miami recommendations, send them my way!!! Xo. Lauren

Hi friends!! I’m back from Seaside, Florida. UGHHHH. After a great couple of days at the beach with some of my girlfriends it’s quite literally back to reality for me. #takemeback!!! I haven’t yet blogged about Seaside but it’s been one of our favorite reunion spots to-date! I know I’ve mentioned on here before but I attended the University of Dayton and thank goodness I did because I met some of my best friends that I’ve had now for 10 years!!! My gosh how time flies. Anywho, Kristin’s family (in the orange!) has a house in Seaside which we have visited a few times now. I had never visited Seaside or 30A before going to Kristin’s family home but it is SO cute. You might recognize it from the movie the Truman Show and I swear it’s just as cute as you see in the movie. It’s such a great beach town – white sand, crystal blue water, colorful beach houses (#goals), fabulous restaurants and cute beach shops everywhere!!! If you haven’t been before, Seaside is a must visit beach town in my opinion!

Today I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite spots we visited this past weekend. Also known as 30a, there are also several other beach towns right next to each other so my spots I highlighted below cross into Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach and WaterColor.

Where To Stay In West Palm Beach: The Brazillian Court Hotel

Lilly Pulitzer Dress

The Brazillian Court Hotel West Palm Beach

Lilly Pulitzer Pink Dress

The Brazillian Court Hotel Palm Beach Island

If you’re looking for where to stay in West Palm beach for an upcoming trip, I’ve got you covered!! This past weekend Mackenzie, Jess and I had the opportunity to stay at the Brazillian Court Hotel (you can check out their website here). I had never been to West Palm Beach before so it was the first I really learned the difference between West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Island (PBI) which are literally two seconds away from each other. The Brazillian Court is located on PBI – walking distance from Worth Avenue and two blocks from the beach. Living in New York you get spoiled being able to walk everywhere but I am so happy to report that Palm Beach Island is very similar! It was so nice to be so close to Worth Avenue where there are multiple places to eat and shop! The hotel also has a signature restaurant called Cafe Boulud which is deeeeeelicious (New Yorkers, there’s also a location on the Upper East Side). Our room was so large, I wish I could have just moved right in!

Other highlights from our stay was doing a bike tour with Lilly Pulitzer on Friday afternoon. In case you missed it on Instagram or Snapchat, I rode around the island on the CUTEST pink bike. The Brazillian Court Hotel also has very cute yellow bikes you can ride around the island which I highly recommend doing! There are several paths along the water that also take you by various major establishments on the island too.

I wore two Lily Pulitzer dresses throughout the weekend. I wore the Valli Shift dress on Friday – how cute, right? This print is also available on two other versions: a wrap dress (great for day-to-night) and on the Pearl Shift Dress (would look so cute with a jean jacket). On Saturday I wore the Lenore Lace Cut-Out Sundress. It was light and breezy, great for the hot and humid Florida weather!

If you’re planning a trip to West Palm Beach soon, feel free to email me any questions! And I would highly recommend the Brazillian Court Hotel! I promise you won’t be disappointed. Happy Tuesday, friends!! Xo. Lauren

Jet Set: 6 Places I Want To Visit In 2016
7

Happy 2016!! I’m finally back in New York after 10 days spent back in Cleveland with my family. It feels great to be recharged, refreshed and ready for a New Year!

2015 was full of travel: Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, London, Paris (x2), the Hamptons, Florida and more. These next few weeks a few girlfriends and I are on a mission to get a few trips booked so I thought it’d be fun to round up 6 places I want to visit in 2016. More importantly, I would love to hear what some of your favorite trips have been thus far! Taking any and all recommendations.  🙂

One. West Palm Beach, The Breakers Hotel

The Breakers Hotel has been on my bucket list for quite some time. Have you been?

Two. St. Barths, Hotel Le Sereno

Three. Amalfi Coast, Le Sirenuse Hotel

The Amalfi Coast has been one of my favorite destinations to-date. I haven’t returned since college so it is on my bucket list for 2016! I came across the Le Sirenuse Hotel on Conde Nast Traveler as it’s rated one of the top boutique hotels in southern Italy. Talk about wanderlust!

Four. Paris, Haven in Paris

After visiting Paris twice last year, I’m making it my mission to visit at least once a year from here on out. Can you blame a girl? We used a luxury rental apartment service called Haven in Paris last year where we stayed in the most charming apartment in the Saint Germain neighborhood. We’ll most certainly look to use Haven in Paris for our next trip.

Five. Nantucket, White Elephant Hotel

I’m headed to Nantucket this summer with my family. We’re debating on staying at the White Elephant. How cuteeeeee?!

Six. Barcelona, Margot House

Barcelona will be one of my bigger trips this year with a few girlfriends from college. After researching some of the best boutique hotels to stay, I came across the Margot House which is situated on Barcelona’s most illustrious avenue, Passeig de Gracia. Sign me up.
