My Top 20 Travel Beauty Essentials
0

You know this girl loves her skin care so today I’ve rounded up my 20 travel beauty essentials!! I have a few beach getaways coming up in a few weeks so I like to make sure I have my favorite products fully in stock. There’s nothing worse than getting to a new location and running out of a product you literally use every day. Let’s break it down, shall we?

If I had to pick my 5 must-purchase items from today’s post it would be: Dermalogica’s Eye Serum and Ultra Soothing Eye Cream. Ever since I worked with Dermalogica over a year ago, I’ve been hooked on their line. I recently tried Clinique’s Moisture Surge moisturizer and am also hooked. I know I’ve blogged about my skin challenges before but my number one issue is hydration so I’m very picky about what moisturizer I use. I’ve obviously have tried multiple brands and this one has made it’s way into rotation. The fourth product I would say is a must-buy and I kinda freak out when I run out of it is Ole Herikson’s Vitamen C Collagen Booster. I use it twice a day before I apply my moisturizer and sun screen (I like to use a separate sun screen that’s not already included in a moisturizer or other skin care product). Last but not least, the fifth product I would say is a must-buy from today’s roundup is Caudalie’s detox overnight oil. I like to apply on top of my moisturizer at night for a little extra moisture. I started using Caudalie’s line back in 2013/2014 after some guy at Sephora sold me on it and I have been using it ever since. I can’t live without the stuff!

A few of my other current travel essentials include: face wipes (always a life saver when you don’t want to wash your face or after a long day of basking in the sun). Dry shampoo because you never know how hotel water will effect your hair. Jo Malone Perfume (the 1 oz. size is perfect for travel). SK-II face mask (just in case you need an extra boost of hydration after your flight). I am obsessed with Nar’s mini blush and bronzer travel compact as well as Naked’s mini eye shadow palette. I’m pretty much a fan of anything mini that will help save room in my make up bag / carry on!

Everyday Beauty Basics

If you have been following a long for a while, you know I love my beauty buys. My favorite beauty buys make up my every day basics – these are products that I simply cannot live without!! Insert dry shampoo, a daily cleanser, eye cream, night cream, a serum, face wipes, perfume, eye liner, bronzer and so forth. You catch my drift, right? But I’m not kidding.. when I run out of these products, I slightly freak out. I either get on Amazon or go to the nearest CVS to stock up. Because I use these products every single day, I try to stock up on many as possible so when I do run out – I have back up. My Mom can certainly attest to this, right Mom!?!? All hell breaks loose when we run out of face wipes whenever I’m back home in Cleveland (because my Mom and I both use them so much). So when I recently was introduced to JĀSÖN’s Gentle Basics Facial Cleansing Towelettes, I was so excited. A new face wipe that is gentle on my skin but is easily able to remove make up.

One thing I have mentioned time and time again on the blog is that I am not a fan of washing my face. Of course I know how important it is for my skin and I force myself to do it every single night but you know there are some nights when I can’t bring myself to do it. These are when face wipes are CRUCIAL. I don’t feel as bad when I wake up in the morning and at least know I used a cleansing towel to remove my make up the night before. After getting hooked on JĀSÖN’s Gentle Basics Facial Cleansing Towelettes, I was inclined to try their entire line. I absolutely loved their facial cleanser and night cream. Two every day basics that I have easily rotated into my daily beauty routine. I think why I have become such a huge fan of this line is because it’s not harsh on my skin, it’s free from all of those nasty chemicals and ingredients, it’s hypoallergenic (perfect for those with sensitive skin), plus you can’t beat how affordable the entire line is. Done and done.

What are some of your everyday beauty basics?

Winter Skin Care Must-Haves

Winter-Skincare-Must-Haves

If there is one word I could use to describe my winter skin care routine it’s DEDICATED.  Ok, I know you guys know this by now but I just love skin care. I don’t include make up in this category (I’m actually not even that good at doing my make up), it’s straight up wrinkle-preventing, anti-aging, please help me fight dehydration skin care products that I deem necessary to stay up-to-date on.

So since I am so dedicated to this little hobby of mine, I thoughtI would share a couple new winter skin care products that I have both used and have on my radar during these cold winter months:

Balm Dotcom: One can never have enough balms. I recently came across Balm Dotcom which is composed of natural antioxidants and provides a waxy texture that seals in moisture – perfect for the dead of winter. What I love most about this product is that in comes in three – one for home, the office and your purse.

Aurelia: If you’re like me and suffer from dehydration, Aurelia’s cell reviatlizing moisturizer melts into the skin and leaves no greasy residue. Made up of omega rich botanicals, this overnight cream is perfect to help lock in moisture.

Ski-II and Ski-II Mid-day Essence: These two skin care beauties I have on my radar. I keep seeing articles talk about how good the Ski-II collection is. Cate Blachett is a major advocate as well as just about every major makeup professional to help keep skiing hydrated all day long. Sign – me – up.

Verso Super Eye Serum and Vitamin E Eye Balm: I feel like I have tried every eye cream and balm under the sun. I currently have Verso’s Super Eye Serum and Vitamin E’s eye balm in rotation. The eye serum helps prevent bags under my eyes and the eye balm is great for a winter dewey look.

Tata Harper Lip and Cheek Tint: I’ve recently joined the Tata Harper beauty cult. This lip and cheek tint is perfect for the winter months as we rarely see the sun during the day. It gives such a pretty glow and a touch of color.

La Tulipe Hand Cream: I absolutely can’t stand when my hands get dry during the winter. La Tulipe hand cream is a personal favorite in addition to L’occitane hand cream.
