When it comes to entertaining, I firmly believe you can never go wrong in collecting a wide variety of blue and white table linens! My appreciation for textiles and porcelain sky rocketed when we were in the South of France last year. I loved dinning both at the famous and local restaurants to see the colorful, printed porcelain plates mixed with classic table linens — many of which were blue and white on the coast (these cute little fish napkins specifically remind me of Club 55!)

What I love most about collecting table linens is that they don’t have to be expensive and can instantly dress up your  table. I love shopping for table linens at Home Goods but if you live in New York and don’t have access to one, One Kings Lane offers the best selection of blue and white table linens! These heirloom scalloped linens would look lovely on just about any table. If you prefer more of the french-country look, these blue and white toile napkins would be great for you! Only $30 dollars for a set of 4. Lastly, one can never go wrong with a traditional flower motif — only $19 dollars for a set of 4.

Do you stick to a color scheme when collecting? Happy Entertaining! Xo. Lauren

Current Favorites from Mara Hoffman

Spring break is officially upon us and all I can think about is a warm weather getaway! My next trip on the calendar is Seaside, Florida for one of my best friends bachelorette parties and I can’t tell you how excited I am for a beach vacation!

Whenever I start shopping for an upcoming trip, I always love to check out what’s new from Mara Hoffman. Although her line is on the more expensive side, she has the best boho dress & vibrant bathing suits. she has a great selection. Today I rounded up a few of my favorites from her spring collection.

How pretty is this one-shoulder dress? It would pair perfectly with a cute wicker bag & wedge espadrilles. This black linen dress would be a great addition to any summer wardrobe. Or if you prefer white, take a peek at this midi-dress!

You can shop all of my current Mara favorites below! Happy Shopping. Xo. Lauren

Indian Dhurrie Rugs

It’s officially been two months since we moved in to our new Greenwich Village apartment! I can’t believe it. As you could imagine, the decorating process is taking time but I’m happy to report we’re making progress. Our new couch is in production, we’re close to finalizing the fabric for our custom shades from the Shade Store and lastly, we decided on a dinning room table!

One item I’ve added to our apartment wish list in recent weeks is a traditional indian dhurrie rug to live under our dinning table. I’m sure you guys have seen these in magazines & across on Pinterest but in case you’re not familiar —  indian dhurrie rugs are a flatweave cotton or wool rugs that many times can be reversible. What I love most about these traditional rugs is that you can find them in a wide variety of colors and intricate patterns. I particularly love indian dhurrie rugs that include a “haveli” stripe — insert this one and this one! So pretty, right? I’ve done so much research on where to buy indian dhurrie rugs that I thought I would share with you guys!

My number one recommendation is Madeline Weinrib – she has the best curated selection and truly great pricing. Serena and Lily also has a great selection to chose from but not surprisingly, their options are more expensive and don’t have as many sizing options available. I personally love this one and this one! If you want to get the look but don’t want to spend the money, Overstock and Wayfair have a ton of great rugs (at amazing prices). I loved this fun little pattern and the mix of grey and blue tones on this one!

Have you purchased an Indian Dhurrie Rug for your home? If so, I’d love to hear where you got it from!! Leave a comment below. Xoxo. Lauren
