Currently Coveting: Rattan Pendants
2

Summer is officially upon us even though it feels like 50 degrees today here in New York! If there is one home product that is able to evoke that ever lasting summer feeling it’s rattan pendants. I love oversized lighting like rattan/wicker pendants as they are a sure way to make a statement. Hang a pair over an island top, string one over a breakfast nook, or hang two to three in a office environment to create an easy yet comfortable aesthetic. I love the natural textures of the woven materials against a white backdrop.

The best part about rattan pendants is that you can find them all over the place at good prices! #holla! Insert Ikea’s Boja Wicker Pendant for $59.99, One King’s Lane Calabash Pendant for $230 (also obsessed with this one), and Serena and Lily’s Santa Monica Chevron Pendant for $295.

Holy sh*t, you guys. This week was rough. Even though we had a four day week, work kicked my ass. I’m so glad it’s Friday and I couldn’t be more excited for this weekend! I’ll be attending the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic tomorrow with some girlfriends. Get ready for all of the cute polo players to be taking over instagram. And without further ado, here are my favorite links from around the web this week! Xo. Lauren

Living In Style: Beach House Inspiration
1

Living in style can be quite easy when you get Jenny Wolf involved. The interior designer shared one of her latest projects with Lonny.com which is how I came across this seaside abode located in Long Beach Island. I mean, when can I move in?

The striped ceilings in the home’s media room combined with the custom u-shaped couch makes beach side living and a laid-back lifestyle a definite goal. Am I right?

I love how Jenny mixed bright and colorful patterns and materials to fit within this family’s easy-going lifestyle. The master suite and the guest bedroom have to be my favorite rooms within the home (the Peter Dunham leaf-print fabrics in the guest room for.the.win). Scroll down for some major beach house inspiration!

Happy Thursday, friends! Xo. Lauren

Best of Summer
0

Hi friends! How was your Memorial Day weekend? We had some beautiful weather in New York this weekend and it truly has me excited for these next few months.

Whenever I think of summer I think of easy living. I don’t like my summer wardrobe to be fussy – especially when it’s hot as hell in New York! I try to buy in layers – think jean jackets, breezy skirts, and easy rompers. One thing I hate about New York summers is how hot it can be outside then how cold buildings are inside! It does not make dressing easy, that’s for sure. That’s why layering summer pieces is so key for me.

Today I’ve rounded up a few best of summer pieces. I’m obsessed with this Lack of Color Hat that you can pair with a sun dress or a jean jacket/skirt combo. I love, love, love this striped Garnet Hill Swimsuit perfect for a weekend at the beach (P.s. Garnet Hill has so many great wardrobe staples for summer – take a peek at their entire swim section here and clothing section here!) And this Julie Vos Elephant necklace can pretty much go with any summer ensemble!  Have a lovely Tuesday! Xo. Lauren
