What To Wear To A Wedding This Summer
0

Wedding season is in full swing!! Being 28 (almost 29 – eek!) I’ve been to quite a few weddings over the past few years. From my high school girlfriends to now some of my college girlfriends who are starting to get married, I’ve attended both as a guest and as a bridesmaid many times!

So when it comes to wedding attire, I like to think I’ve mastered the look. I have a few rules I stick to when getting dressed for an all day affair. First and foremost, is GOOD shape wear!! With an all day event like a wedding, you know you will be eating and drinking all day so good shape wear is seriously a girl’s best friend. Am I right?!

Insert Maidenform. A brand I’ve been wearing for years. Depending on the fit of my dress, I rotate a few different styles. What I love most about Maidenform is the price point and the variety of styles to choose from! When it comes to shape wear, the fit is so important to me. I love shape wear that’s firm, fit and flattering (you don’t want your shape wear showing any underwear lines, you know what I mean?!) If I’m wearing a flowy dress, I personally like the the smoothers shorty or the slim waiters thigh slimmer. I’m telling you they are absolute life savers. After I pick out my under garments, I try to find a colorful or floral dress. You want to make a statement but you also don’t want to upstage the bride. Anything off-the-shoulder this summer will do (duh). How cute is this green number from Nordstrom?! Statement earrings are perfect if you wear your hair back & I also try to pair statement earrings with simple gold jewelry.

Last but not least, I always, always, always pack a little clutch with all day necessities: lipstick, lipgloss, perfume (I typically carry roller ball perfumes – try this one or this one). You can shop all of my must-have wedding accessories above & below! Happy Tuesday, my friends!! Xo. Lauren
