I recently came across Brooklyn based design firm Chango & Co. Are you familiar with their work? You can follow them here! After discovering them on Instagram, I decided to take a peek at their portfolio when coming back from the Hampton’s yesterday. One of my girlfriends and her husband who we were with this past weekend hired them to design their Tribecca apartment. I seriously cannot wait to see the end result! Anywho, after getting lost for what seemed like forever browsing their website and Instagram I had to share this Westchester Family Abode.
What I love most about discovering new design firms is pulling inspiration that you can totally recreate in your own home. I’ve seen this Serena and Lily blue and white rug used in multiple living rooms, dinning rooms and bedrooms! You also can totally mimic the dinning chairs in this home with Serena and Lily’s striped bistro chairs or the pendants utilizing these Santa Barbara Pendants. So cute, am I right?! And can we please talk about the Feather Wallpaper? A classic wallpaper staple in beach homes on the East Coast.
There’s nothing better than finding interiors that are similar to your aesthetic and recreating the look. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite products below to help you achieve this Westchester’s family home below.
Good morning!! Apologies for the radio silence around here. It’s officially summer so please bare with me as my blog posts come in ebbs and flows!! These past few weekends have been quite the whirlwind with traveling to Fire Island and Connecticut over Memorial Day weekend, spending time with my family in Newport, and visiting Amagansett last weekend! With all of this travel to iconic east coast locations, I have to fill you guys in on my new favorite beach bag. Insert: Poolside bags. If you’re an avid visitor to Montauk and have been to the Montauk Beach House, you may be familiar with the Poolside pop up shop. They have the best in swimwear, summer clothing, jewelry/accessories and of course beach bags! What I love most about Poolside’s beach bags is that they are 100% customizable. You can pick the size of the beach bag, a funny/personal quote and the color of the thread! I customized my beach bag a few weeks ago and I cannot wait for it to arrive in the mail! It takes a few weeks for your custom order to be shipped so that’s why I wanted to get it on your guys’ radar now. Of course I’ll be sharing it all over my instagram as soon as mine arrives! You can shop numerous beach bags on Moda Operandi – I’ve included a few of my favorites below! Happy beaching! Xo. Lauren
Happy June, friends! Can you believe it? Summer is officially here. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I was running around Connecticut and Newport, Rhode Island these past few days with my mom and aunt. Check out my instagram + stories for the latest! We had such a great time. Newport is always a favorite of mine – check out my 48 hours feature right here. This time we ate at the Spiced Pear at the Chanler which has such a beautiful view overlooking the water! Highly, highly recommend. It was a very busy past 7 days so hoping to bring you guys more content this week! Let’s get to it – shall we?
In case you are just tuning in, I shared my bedroom reveal the other week. I loved reading everyone’s comments and reviews! So now I’m on a serious mission to finish my living room!! After months with no coffee table my number one priority right now is finding a new one so I can finally shoot and share my living room with you all. As I aim to finish my living room, I always keep an eye out for new arrivals and sales from my favorite retailers for inspiration. Insert Horchow. They have so many great new arrivals right now!! If you’re familiar with my bar cart – it’s pretty old and rickety. My mom found it at a flea market and spray painted it gold for me. As I was browsing Horchow’s new arrivals I came across this Blaine Bar Cart and have officially added it to my Wish List. Isn’t she pretty? This starburst console table would look fabulous in any room. In addition to a coffee table, I’m also on a mission to get new end tables. I love these textured nesting accent tables or this marble side table! Last but not least, I LOVE this tufted bed – it’s very similar to mine! And also this console table which would look beautiful in any entry way, living or bedroom.
I’ll be sure to keep you guys full up-to-speed as I complete my living room. Fingers crossed my coffee table will be here before we know it! Xo. Lauren
The unofficial kickoff to summer is at finally here! I can’t believe it. What’s everyone doing this weekend? Whether you’re headed on a weekend getaway or a staycation, I rounded up so many good links for you this week. I know, I know I’ve been slacking with my Weekend Notes but there are only so many hours in the day.
I’m headed to Fire Island this weekend for the first time ever and can’t wait. Have you been? I’ll be sure to report back on Tuesday. I hope everyone has a great long weekend with friends and family! Xo. Lauren
