I have been shopping on Horchow for what seems like – forever! They carry some of my favorite brands including Jonathan Adler, John Robshaw, Ralph Lauren and so on. I have picked up numerous items from Horchow to-date from dinnerware to bath accessories to my couch! One of my favorite things about Horchow is they constantly do flash sales! So if you have your eye on a specific product, you could catch it on a surprise flash sale.

A few of my favorite items from Horchow!

I have been obsessed with this Jonathan Adler shower curtain for quite some time – need to pull the trigger!

My mom taught me you can never have too many white throw blankets. I like to use these on my white couch to make sure I don’t spill anything. #clutz

Ever since I moved to the Upper East side, I’ve been investing in mixed blue and white plates. Who said everything needs to match all the time?

Horchow has the best Ralph Lauren bar ware. How cute are these cocktail picks? Need them for my bar cart asap.

My next purchase from Horchow is most certainly going to be a John Robshaw quilt – I really want one of these to include in my bedroom reveal!

This white marble coffee table has been featured in Studio-McGee home tours and is definitely on my radar.

How To Decorate With White Lights
1

One design trick I am dying to try is simply utilizing a strand of white lights. It can be both whimsical and modern in any room of the home. After scouring the web for some of the best inspiration when it comes to this design trend, I’ve rounded up a few tips and tricks on how to keep it simple.

1. String a strand of lights above your couch or headboard. Don’t be scared to get creative using already established structures and pieces of furniture in your home like wooden beams or a canopy bed. Adding a string of white lights can add a whimsical feel no matter what room.

2. Utilize driftwood. If there is one idea I may steal from this trend, it’s from this photo below. Place a piece of driftwood against the wall and string the lights between the cracks. This will not only help add light to your room but it’s a great way to add a focal point and texture.

3. Use current furniture like mirrors or dressers. The good news is, you probably already have a mirror in your home. One of my favorite ways that I have seen white lights be utilized is against mirrors. Place a large mirror against the wall and string the lights around it. Tip: Pound a nail on either side behind the mirror to help keep the lights in place.

4. Light Up Your Dinner Party. Hang one strand of the classic clear globe lights over your dinning room or kitchen table. Perfect for date night or a small dinner party.

5. Incorporate As A Part Of Your Tablescape. Intertwine a string of white paper lantern lights as a part of your table center piece. Tip: be sure to check the wattage and test the lights before dinner to ensure the bulbs wont over heat.

Pottery Barn has a great selection of lights to choose from no matter what your aesthetic + the prices are easy on the bank account.

The classic clear globe lights are available in three different sizes for as low as $39.50 (try the oversized version for more of a rustic feel). I also love the classic globe design for outdoor spaces on a patio or strung underneath an umbrella.

The mercury glass lights are just plain pretty.

Pottery Barn also keeps in stock your standard string of white lights.

What do you think? Would you try this design trend?Xo. Lauren
