My Top 7 Favorite Ikea Hacks Us Girls Can Do
2

You know I love a good Ikea hack so today I’m sharing my top 7 favorite Ikea hacks us girls can do! Who run the world? Girls.

Both dressers in my bedroom I hacked right when I moved to New York. I turned the three drawer Rast dresser (which you can pick up for $34.99 dollars) into a Dorothy Draper dresser utilizing Overlays. I also picked up Ikea’s Tarva dresser ($149 dollars), painted it white and changed out the hardware (as seen here).

I love Ikea hacks because one. they are cheap and two. it’s amazing what a little paint and new hardware can do!

1. Bekvam Kitchen Cart $59.99

When I came across this Ikea hack I instantly thought this hack was perfect for studio apartments! The Bekvam Kitchen Cart is only $59.99 and I love how the DIY below incorporated a white marble top and a vintage brass towel holder.

2. VITTSJO Nesting Table $59.99

As you know, coffee tables can be quite pricey. The Ikea Nesting Table is another great addition for a small space as it’s only $59,99. You can turn this little living room gem into a luxe piece with just a little bit of spray paint. Try Rust-Oleum’s Metallic Spray Paint.

3. Tarva Dresser $149.00

One of my all time favorite Ikea pieces – the Tarva dresser! I love this dresser as it truly can be so versatile – use it in your bedroom, living or hallway. Pick a paint color and switch up the hardware! It truly couldn’t be easier to hack.

4.  Billy Series Bookshelves $79.99

It’s pretty difficult to come across authentic built-ins in New York City. I love how the Makerista built her own using the Billy Bookshelf series! If I had the space, this hack would be next on my list.

5. Floating Credenza

Unfortunately I don’t think Ikea sells this piece anymore but you can find similar pieces of furniture like this floating display shelf  for $199 dollars. Cabinets that float in room instantly make the room feel larger – exactly what you need for a small space.

6. PS2 2012 End Table

Hacking end tables are another easy and affordable way to make the most of your bedroom furniture. I love how Kristi Murphey incorporated a wood finish on top of the standard black end table.
