Project Upper East Side: My Bedroom Reveal
5

pillows (1 of 1)

You guys!!! I’m so excited to finally share with you my bedroom reveal! In case you are just tuning in, I moved to the Upper East Side at the end of last year. I redesigned my old bedroom as part of the One Room Challenge which you can see right here. Although moving is such a pain in New York, I was very excited to have the chance to makeover a totally new space. It’s taken longer than expected to finish my apartment (as many of you know, my living room is still in the works!) but nonetheless, the bedroom is FINALLY finished so here it is. I am so happy with how it turned out and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without working with amazing brands like Gray Malin, The Mine, Gansett Lane Home, Annie Selke and more.

Entertaining At Home With Rueda Verdejo Wine
2

Lauren-0006-Edit

Ever since moving into my one bedroom apartment on the Upper East Side, I have been entertaining constantly! I love having my girlfriends over for wine and treats. This past weekend I teamed up with a Spanish wine region, Rueda,  to host a fun wine-filled afternoon. Rueda is known for their refreshing Verdejo white wine and I have to admit, it’s delicious! If you like Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, you will love Verdejo from Rueda. It’s vibrant and complex, yet effortlessly drinkable! In addition to having a few bottles of Oro de Castilla and Shaya Verdejo wine on hand, I also picked up some tea sandwiches, scones and sweet treats from Alice’s Tea Cup, an Upper East Side must-try. It definitely made for a sweet afternoon!

To help freshen up my space, I picked up a few of my favorite blooms to decorate my dining nook and bar cart. In case you didn’t know, cherry blossoms are insanely pretty this time of year. You can typically find cherry blossom branches for around $12 dollars a branch from your local florist! And in true lauren-nelson.com fashion, I also had white hydrangeas on hand to spruce up my bar cart.

With each new season, I like to switch up my dishes and dinnerware. I absolutely loved these pink floral dishes and these pink glasses from Villeroy & Boch. They matched perfectly with the cherry blossoms and looked oh-so-cute under the tea sandwiches.

If you’re planning to entertain at home any time soon, or just want a refreshing glass of white wine, make sure to look for Rueda in your wine store or order it directly from wine.com with the code “RUEDA” for a 10% discount! Cheers!! Xo. Lauren

Lauren-Nelson-One-Room-Challenge-11 (2)

Happy Thursday, friends! Hope everyone is gearing up for a cold weekend here in New York and across the country. I’m cold already thinking about it!

Any who, this weekend I’ll be doing a fun shoot with Alexandra for Pottery Barn and picking out Benjamin Moore paint colors with Amy! When I first moved in to my apartment, I was unsure whether or not I wanted to paint. Well after a few months of going back and forth, I’ve decided to team up with Paintzen to paint both my living room and bedroom!

I’ve been meaning to write this blog post and give you guys an apartment update for weeks now! As you know, I’m officially and uptown girl! If you’re just tuning in, I moved to the Upper East Side at the end of last year. I absolutely love the neighborhood, especially now that the Q’s officially open! Who’s with me?

It’s been a slow process designing my one bedroom apartment to say the least.  The last update I gave was back in October! Eeeek. One of the first items that I picked out which was completely non-negotiable by the way was my queen mattress!
