Dreaming Of A Warm Weather Getaway | Vacation Styles
0

If this next Covid spike doesn’t have you daydreaming of a warm weather getaway, I don’t know what will! We are planning on heading down to Palm Beach next week for New Years but like so many others, we’re currently reevaluating all of our upcoming travel plans. All I know is if we don’t go, we will need a warm weather getaway in our future asap!

Anywho, I am loving all of Shopbop‘s new resort-ready styles. From new swimsuits and cover-ups from fan favorites like Hunza G and Beach Riot to colorful new dresses from ALC and Zimmermann, there are so many new goodies to browse for any upcoming vacation plans you might have!

Some of my favorite vacation styles I bought last summer for our honeymoon that I know I’ll wear on repeat next year are the classic round sunglasses from Ray-Ban, the Parker Long Loose Vintage Shorts from Agolde, and the Jeanne Hat from Gigi Burris – this hat was easily the best purchase I made before our trip. I wore it every single day and couldn’t recommend it more.

If you’re looking for some pretty vacation dresses, you HAVE to look at Caroline Constas‘ latest collection. I seriously want every single piece – also her bathing suits and ruffle shorts are adorable!! Augua Bendita, AJE and Staud are my other go-to brands for fun vacation dresses.

Happy holidays and warm weather dreaming. 🙂 Xx. Lauren

Favorites From Italy + Shopbop Summer Sale

Bonjourno!!! We are officially back from our two week honeymoon in Italy – I can’t wait to share with you guys our itinerary, must visit hotels and top meals and restaurants!

In the meantime I wanted to share what I wore as well as some of my favorite recent purchases that would be great for any beach vacation. Last month I shared what I was packing for our honeymoon and I am happy to report back that I wore my new Gigi Burris hat literally everyday paired with my new Ray-Bans. I really should have switched it up more but honestly both were so comfortable it just made getting dressed everyday quite easy.

On the swim front, I wore my Montce Swim on repeat in Capri and Positano paired with my 9Seed cover ups and Birkenstocks. I was introduced to Montce earlier this year by one of my girlfriends and it may be one of the best swimwear brands I’ve ever tried – the fit is flattering but also soooo comfortable.

On the Birkenstock front, I personally love their plastic “Arizona” style sandals for the beach but their classic style with the big buckle are just as comfortable. Can you tell I go for comfort at all costs?! #thisis30

Other swimsuits I wore throughout the trip include some oldies but goodies from L*Space, Mara Hoffman and Beach Riot. I also picked up a brand new Agua Bendita blue and white one-piece that I had my eye on for a few weeks before we left for our honeymoon. I know the picture below was snapped a bit far away but you can get a sense of the style.

Oh, I also lived in linen while we were abroad – linen dresses, linen tops and linen shorts. It was so hot even by the sea that I really gravitated toward every single linen piece I had in my suitcase. Luckily it’s still very hot here in New York so I’ll be able to get a few more wears out of my favorite linen pieces from the trip!

So those are the big highlights/favorite purchases I wore on repeat during our honeymoon BUT I also wanted to make sure you guys saw the Shopbop summer sale that is happening right now!!!!

With fall right around the corner I have my eye on everything cashmere — even in Italy I wore my White + Warren scarf (mostly on the plane and in airports) but I also picked up one of their cardigans a while back which came in quite handy when I wanted a light layer of warmth!! There are a few cashmere styles that I see are on sale that you should definitely check out.

Other amazing finds you can find from brands that are currently marked down include Vince, Ulla Johnson, Sea, Rhode and LoveShackFancy.

That’s it for now!

More to come on our itinerary & travel highlights in the coming weeks. Xoxo. Lauren

Palm-Beach-Bag

Summer is officially underway and I couldn’t be more excited! There’s nothing better than eating outside at one of our favorite restaurants and strolling the West Village during these slow summer weekends. We have a bit of travel coming up over the next two months so I always appreciate a down weekend we have at home!

When it comes to shopping for summer I tend to lean in to easy, breezy summer staples like shift dresses or maxi dresses that I could easily wear to work or on the weekends! I know I’ve mentioned this brand a few times this year but I seriously can’t get enough of the brand Kule which you can shop on Shopbop. They have a great collection of stylish stripe shirts and shift dresses that I’ve been wearing on repeat.

When it comes to lightweight maxi dresses — SeaDVF and Mara Hoffman all have great selections of dresses for your work and weekend wardrobes! Speaking of weekends, our first Hampton’s trip is coming up next weekend so give me all of the straw totes and one piece bathing suits!! I recently discovered Mariella Villar who designs custom straw totes and I am obsessed. You can find a wide variety of sizes, colors and monogram options. And p.s. if you’re not into straw totes, take a peek at Shopbop’s bags under $300 dollars category!

Happy shopping!! Xo. Lauren

Where To Stay on Nantucket – The Roberts Collection

If you’re planning a trip to Nantucket this summer and looking for a charming, quaint place to stay, look no further than the Roberts Collection! Located in the heart of downtown Nantucket, the Roberts Collection is a group of houses that were recently renovated and transformed to host guests during their summer getaways. The first historic manor (where we stayed!) was built in 1846!! The other 3 houses were built in 2013 and each house offers a unique style and feel all their own.

Our room was located on the 3rd floor of the Manor House and was dressed with blue and white bedding & drapes! #blueandwhiteforever

The Roberts Collection-11

I couldn’t help myself and of course peaked into other rooms throughout our house and each room is dressed in their own unique, nautical decor. Think corals, navys, sisal and rattan everywhere!! No detail was left behind.

What I loved most about staying at The Roberts Collection was their location on the island. You can easily walk to the best restaurants, museums and shops including Black Eyed Susan’s, Lemon Press, Sylvia’s Antiques, Nantucket Looms, Murray’s and more. We seriously felt like locals! Everyday we walked to Lemon Press which is just around the corner for our morning coffee. We ate twice at Black Eyed Susan’s which is just across the street, perfect for beating the line & ordered pancakes “for the table.” Does anyone else do this or is it just us?

Don’t even get me started on shopping! Nantucket shopping requires it’s own blog post in and of itself but Nantucket Looms is also located around the corner and was so fun to explore every time we popped in.

Below are a few of my favorite photos I snapped during our stay. Be sure to check out TheRobertsCollection.com for more information & their complete guide to the island! Oh, and give them some love on Instagram, too. 🙂 Happy traveling!! Xo. Lauren
