The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017
0

Nordstrom-Anniversary-Sale-Home

Good morning! And happy early access day. If you haven’t noticed hash tag #NSale all over the internet yet, early access day means it’s the first day you can shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

This is truly the one sale I look forward to every summer. In case you’re not familiar, Nordstrom lets consumers preview major fall pieces before returning to their regularly marked prices in the fall. I like to use this time to invest in classic wardrobe staples like a Burberry coat. I also like to invest in handbags and jeans which always tend to be an after thought for me. Last year I picked up these AG ankle leggings – I wear them on repeat most weekends. This open front cardigan is also back this year! Going to stock up in two more colors. Last but not least, a girl can never have too many basic tees (only $17 dollars!)

The best way to shop the sale is early and online. Many of the popular brands like Stuart Weitzman and Tory Bruch Sell out fast. I was so happy to see Stuart’s over-the-knee suede boots are back for $499!

With Nordstrom’s quick shipping and return policy, online is seriously the only way to go. Also – if you live near a Nordstrom, you can always buy online and pick up same day! Some stores even offer curb side pick up!

So here’s the scoop.

If you’re a Nordstrom card member, you can shop today – as in right now. If you’re not a card member, do not worry. The sale opens to the public on July 16th and runs through August 6th.

I’ve created the ultimate Nordstrom Anniversary Shopping list below – from beauty must-haves to classic wardrobe staples, here’s my favorite deals you can shop right now!!

My Top 10 Products Amazon Prime Day Picks
1

Gossip-Girl

Once a year, Amazon bestows on us Amazon Prime Day. Similar to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (which starts tomorrow, btw!), Prime Day offers hundreds of deals to help you save money on some their top selling products. I did my due diligence (duh) and scoured hundreds of pages to nail down my top 10 Amazon Prime Day Picks.

One | Amazon Echo

I have been wanting to get an Amazon Echo for quite some time now! Not only would I love to ask the device the weather everyday, being able to order my groceries or other everyday items on Amazon without using my phone or computer I think is so cool. Originally $49.99, today you can shop for $34.99! You could also pick up the bigger version for $89.99 (over $90 in savings!)

Two | Boho Tops

In case you’ve never shopped Amazon Fashion, I highly recommend! I love some of their Boho Tops they currently have on sale including this, this and this.

Three | Vegetable Spiralizer

I haven’t officially joined the Spiralizer craze but Prime Day may have changed everything. This ScharfPro Vertical Self-Pressure Vegetale Spiralizer is only $19.95. Yes, please!

Four | KitchenAid Mixer

Similar to the Spiralizer, I haven’t jumped on the KitchenAid bandwagon either. Normally KitchenAids are well above $1,200 dollars. Today Amazon is offering you over a $400 dollar discount – so you can get the KitchenAid Proline Edition Stand Mier in Copper for only $799.

Five | Fitbit Charge 2 Heart Rate + Firtness Wristband

So many people I know love their fitbit, including my mom! You can pick up the Fibit Charge 2 for $129.88 when normally its $149! You could also dress up your fitbit with this stainless steel band! Rose gold is more of my jam.

Six | Stadler Form Essential Oil Diffuser

I’ve owned quite a few diffusers in my day, but the Stadler Form is the absolute best. It’s good looking, works so well (no weird leaking/splattering), doesn’t take up a ton of room, & emits all of the yummy essential oils w/ some serious power.

Seven | Silk Pillowcase

I’ve been hearing about how silk pillowcases help with preventing wrinkles. This 100% Pure Mulberry Silk Pillowcase is regularly priced $99.99 and you can shop it today for only $54.99!

Eight | Kindle E-Reader

I love my kindle but mine is so old and it’s about time for an upgrade. What I love most about reading on my Kindle is that there is no harmful blue light. Studies have shown that evening exposure to blue light from backlit screens like tablets and smartphones can suppress the body’s production of melatonin and disrupt sleep. The kindle also reads like real paper, doesn’t cause eye strain and is light enough for one-hand holding.

Nine | Ninja Coffee Maker + Blender

Many of my friends are obsessed with Nespresso, however, this Ninja Coffee Maker may give Nespresso a run for their money. I’m also so tempted to pick up Amazon’s best selling Ninja blender! Originally priced $119, you can start juice tomorrow for only $69.99.

Ten | Gotofine LED Lighted Makeup Mirror

Originally priced $54.99 – you can shop this LED lighted makeup mirror for only $34.99. This mirror simulates natural sunlight and is perfect for applying makeup!  There have been too many times when I’ve put on too much foundation and ended up looking cakey without even realizing it.  This mirror is touchscreen and easily portable!

Lauren-0564-2

Ever since moving to the Upper East Side, I’ve been obsessed with entertaining at home. One of my favorite weekend activities is brunch, so naturally, inviting friends over for brunch is always so fun especially now that I have the space!

Whenever I entertain at home, I always make sure to have Chloe Prosecco on hand.Whether you prefer prosecco on it’s own or you like to create a special recipe, prosecco is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Plus Chloe Prosecco pairs well with both savory and sweet dishes.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I’m a huge fan of Chloe Wine Collection and their prosecco is just as delicious as their rose! If you live on the Upper East Side, you can find the Chloe Prosecco at Yorkshire Wines and Spirits, the Wine Emporium or Up Thai! The wine is bursting with fine bubbles and notes of peaches, apples and flowers. Making it perfect addition for your brunch cocktails! Not only is it rich but it’s balanced with a crisp finish.

If you’re looking to mix up your brunch at home, I’ve highlighted three different prosecco recipes definitely worth trying! What are some of your favorite tips when hosting friends for brunch?! Xo. Lauren

Recipe One | Chloe Mango Sunrise

1 part chilled Chloe Prosecco

1 part orange juice

1 part pomegranate juice

1 part mango juice

Combine all ingredients into a wine glass with ice, and garnish with fresh orange slices

Recipe Two | Chloe Blushing Bellini

1 part chilled Chloe Prosecco

2 parts fresh pomegranate juice

1/2 part creme de cassis

1/2 part vodka

Combine all ingredients, except Chloe Prosecco, in a champagne flute. Stir gently, and top with chilled Chloe Prosecco

Recipe 3 | Chloe Blackberry Sparkle

4 parts chilled Chloe Prosecco

1 1/2 parts gin

3/4 part fresh lime juice

1/2 part agave

1/4 part blackberry liqueur

Combine all ingredients, except for Chloe Prosecco, in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to chill, and strain into a wine glass filled with fresh ice. Top with chilled Chloe Prosecco, and garnish with fresh mint and lime.

Weekend Notes
0

The @serenaandlily beach market this year..

Good morning! How was your 4th of July? Did you love having a short work week as much as I did? Although Wednesday felt like a Monday, I’m so happy today is Friday. Luckily we will be staying put in the city this weekend. On the agenda includes visiting the Met and having afternoon tea at The Plaza. Spending time at The Plaza is actually one of my all-time favorite activities to do here in New York. So if you’re planning a trip soon or over the holidays, I highly recommend adding The Plaza to your itinerary.

Anywho! Today I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite links from around the web this week. There are so many great sales happening right now. It really feels like everyone is having their end-of-summer sale already. Psst – You do not want to miss the Club Monaco sale right now. Have a great weekend, everyone. Xo. Lauren

Links I Loved

  • In case you missed it – I would LOVE if you could vote for me in the Annie Selke rug design competition. All you have to do is “like” this photo! THANK YOU! – Annie Selke
  • One of my favorite bedding lines Matouk partnered with One Kings Lane on a new collection and it’s pretty amazing. – One Kings Lane
  • I wish I could be as organized as Gwyneth! – Arch Digest

Sales & Shopping

  • If you’re in the market for nautical stationary, this collection from The Maryn should be right up your alley.
  • I’m pretty smitten with this wallpaper from Serena and Lily that I spotted at their beach market in Wainscott this past weekend.
  • J.Crew is offering an additional 40% off swim styles. I picked up this ruffle swimsuit last week for the 4th! I love it because you can wear it up or as an off-the-shoulder top.
  • How cute is this little Mongolian Lamb Stool from West Elm? This versatile piece would look great in a bedroom, bathroom or living room!
  • The perfect mirror for a powder room or an entry way + plus it’s under $300 dollars.
  • Lands End is having 30% off site wide – how cute is this tote bag for summer? Plus it’s only $39.99.

In Case You Missed It
