Blogger Lauren Nelson shares her Layette Favorites for baby

I can’t believe we’re so close to Baby C’s arrival! While we’ve been patiently waiting these past few weeks, I’ve been packing and repacking our hospital bags and of course shopping for the cutest layette pieces. Luckily a lot of my close friends have pointed me in the right direction on where to shop for newborn clothes. So today I’m rounding up my favorites that I’ve bought for Baby C and would love to hear if you have any newborn must-haves!

Layette Favorites

  • Ralph Lauren Cashmere Baby Blanket – This baby blanket was at the top of my list when we registered! It’s the perfect keepsake as you can get the baby’s initials monogramed and it also pairs perfectly with the cutest RL cashmere hat and booties.
  • Estelle Milano or any custom name boudoir baby pillow – I love how a custom boudoir pillow with the baby’s name or initials can enhance any little crib or bassinet.
  • G.H.Hurt & Son Shawl – A royal family favorite! Shop classic baby shawls at great prices for special occasions.
  • Feltman Brothers Gowns – I have a feeling Feltman Brothers is going to continue to be one of my go-to brands for baby C! I bought two little gowns to start that she’ll wear during our newborn photo shoot in a few weeks!
  • Pixie and Lily, Kissy Kissy, Little English and Nella Pima are all new-to-me brands I discovered and you can easily shop in one place on Jo Jo Mommy, a children’s clothing store based in Dallas, Texas. I first discovered Jo Jo Mommy when a few of my favorite bloggers linked to the store on Instagram. I love their curated selection and shipping is quick to New York!

A Few Designers I’m Loving

Resort-Dresses-Spring-Dresses-Vacataion-Dresses

Not sure if you’re noticing a trend around here but I’ve really only been in the mood to shop resort wear and resort dresses more specifically. Does anyone else feel the same?! We have a few more trips coming up this spring so I’ve been browsing Shopbop, Net-A-Porter and Matches Fashion for some easy, casual dresses.

There are so many new-to-me designers I’ve been loving including Borgo De Nor who certainly has some beautiful frocks if you’re looking to invest in a dress for an upcoming wedding or event! If you’re headed to the beach, I’ve been loving everything from D’Ascoli. I recently bought two dresses (this one and this one). Not only are they super comfortable but you can easily wear both out to dinner or lunch. Lisa Marie Fernandez is another designer I always check out before going on a warm-weather getaway.

Both Antik Batik and 9 Seed have some beautiful cover ups for the beach. I haven’t shopped Antik before but one of my favorite cover ups from 9Seed is this white dress.

Another new-to-me brand is Muzungu Sisters that you can shop on Matches – how beautiful is this blue embroidered silk dress?! The brand is all about handmade clothing and accessories working with artisans from all over the world. I also love this cotton dress and this linen maxi.

Beach Bound | More Warm Weather Essentials For Your Next Vacay
0

Does anyone else feel like spring is no where in sight yet?! These freezing temps in New York definitely makes me want to plan multiple beach vacations over the next few months. Luckily I have a girls trip in February to Key Biscayne so I’ve been shopping for warm weather essentials like beach-ready dresses, linen shorts, some new bathing suits (Montce Swim continues to be my go-to swimwear brand)  and shoes that I can easily wear all spring long – how cute are these Golden Gooses?!

I’m constantly browsing Shopbop‘s new arrivals – p.s. be sure to check out their “New Today” section to see newly added daily items from our favorite brands. Luckily resort wear is constantly added to this section so you can preview everything that’s arriving in time for spring. Current collections I’m loving include just about everything from Ulla Johnson, Caroline Constas, Staud, and Mara Hoffman. For easy and more affordable beachwear, check out new arrivals from Vitamin A. Or if you’re looking to splurge, you can always count on La Double J and  Zimmermann‘s resort wear to be pretty amazing.

Happy vacation planning, gals. Xo. Lauren

Camel Pieces For Fall
0

Can you believe it’s November?!?! I’m not a big halloween person so I always love when November 1st hits! That means the countdown to Christmas is officially on. With lots of holiday festivities quickly approaching, I’ve been on the hunt for some new wardrobe staples. I didn’t buy much during covid last year so there are a few things I need to re-stock up on this holiday season.

I’m currently loving everything camel for fall – from wool coats to sweaters to boots. I love a good head-to-toe camel look!

Definitely take a peek at Club Monaco and Reiss when it comes to the perfect fall wool coat. Loeffler Randall also has a great selection of camel boots this year.
