Studio McGee is one of my favorite design firms. Each and every home re-design or renovation they touch is magic in my opinion! I love that Shae has a clear vision and incorporates small touches like her own pillow collection that makes it easy to spot her work. When I came across one of their latest home renovations, I had to share! You can take a peek at all of the images here but the before and after photos are insane. A little white paint, brass finishes and natural wood accessories transformed this space into a major “wow” worthy home! Happy Saturday, my friends!

My Everygirl Home Tour Feature
1

One-Room-Challenge-Lauren-Nelson

Hi Friends! If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat (laurennelsonny), you might have seen that I shared that The Everygirl featured my home tour! You can see the entire interview right here. I became friends with Danielle and Alaina (co-founders of TE) right when I first started blogging back in Chicago around 2011 – um, what?! So long ago now!!! But seriously, it’s been so fun seeing them grow the Everygirl in to what it is today. I mentioned this on my personal Facebook took, but I have probably seen / read every home tour feature on the Everygirl. I’m thrilled to be included on the site with the numerous other talented women! Be sure to pop on over to theeverygirl.com to see my home tour and a fun little interview. I answered a ton of questions about my career, why I moved from Chicago to New York, and more about my style. Happy Thursday!! Xo. Lauren

I recently came across Ashley Whittaker Interior Design and can’t get enough! I don’t even know how I came across Ashley’s website but I did some style stalking and came across this Southampton project. This is what #lifegoals are made out of. Am I right? I haven’t spent much time in Southampton myself but I can only imagine the homes are just as pretty as this one. The outdoor lounge and living areas have to be my favorite out of this entire project. The living room and bedroom are also beautiful spaces. It’s funny that I’m starting to realize my eye is moving more toward traditional spaces. I was out to brunch with Gabby and Sam yesterday and we were all chatting about our evolving sense of styles. Gab mentioned she’s loving more modern pieces and I most recently have been in to more traditional homes. Have you noticed your style evolving over the past year or so? Anywho, I’ve scoured the web and found some similar products to the one featured in the Southampton project. Be sure to shop them below! Have a great start to the week, everyone! Xo. Lauren

I went to Boston for this first time this previous October. I was excited to visit as all of my friends have raved about Boston. The small, charming city lived up to everything my friends said it would be with the neighborhood of Beacon Hill being no exception. I loved walking up and down the rolling hills full of historic brownstones. New York, of course, is also full beautiful brownstones in many neighborhoods but for whatever reason, they’re just not as charming as the ones found throughout Beacon Hill.

I came across Nina Farmer’s sophisticated brown stone in Beacon Hill on One King’s Lanes blog this morning and had to share. Nina and her family originally settled on the top floor of this town home, before buying the entire home when the family downstairs eventually moved out. Nina gutted and renovated the entire space, combining rooms to build the kitchen, keeping the historic molds and casings, and reinventing this space to feel fresh and modern. The kitchen, bedroom and closet have to be my favorite rooms in the home. Be sure to check out the entire feature on One Kings Lane and you can shop the post below. Happy Thursday! Xo. Lauren
